We started At Home On The Range Pet Cemetery in 2001 on our Family Farm, located in the hills West of Amsterdam (20 miles from Bozeman, Montana). Many deceased pets & horses were ending up in the local landfill and we thought that it was time that pet owners had a dignified option for caring for their pet companions. In the Spring of 2003 we decided to expand our business and purchased our first cremation unit. By offering pickup service from Veterinary Clinics and homes all over the State of Montana (for all animals, hamsters to horses), we soon became very busy.
In 2005, we purchased a second, larger cremation unit, in order to provide horse cremations. Now in 2007, we are expanding our business yet again by offering urns, memorial markers, books on pet loss and grief, and keepsake items on our website.
We truly love our business of providing a service for people at a time of great sorrow. Our goal is to always try to make the passing of a beloved pet easier.
